Enterprise Licensing provides our clients with a complete installation of the Planet Online web application on a designated web or intranet server. This allows businesses to configure the application in many different ways and to integrate the system with an existing IT infrastructure.

Some advanced features available only to Enterprise Licensees:

• administer groups
• set access permissions
• access to software API
• develop application extensions
• integrated Help Desk system
• CVS (version control system)

Purchasing an Enterprise License gives you a perpetual license to the software (including source code and documentation) under terms of the GNU General Public License  plus installation and updates and (via CVS)  for a period of one year. With an Enterprise License there are no monthly fees.

The Planet Online web application can be can be used to manage an intranet, a web portal, or an existing IT infrastructure. Installation pre-requisites are outlined on the Installation Requirements page. The modular structure of the Planet Online application code library provides makes it well suited to integrating existing legacy databases and information systems. We can provide custom programming and we can provide training and support for your in-house IT development personnel.

For businesses which already have an IT infrastructure or website the Enterprise License provides an excellent way to:

• integrate existing databases
• upgrade an existing website
• develop custom applications

The structure of the application framework allows for custom code modules to be maintained separately from the main distribution while integrating with the work flow of the main application. The software code which controls presentation is separated from the code which controls work-flow logic.
